Authentic Mexican RecipesMexican Hot Chocolate Recipe6 cups milk In saucepan, combine milk, sugar, chocolate, ground cinnamon and salt. Heat and stir until chocolate melts and milk is very hot. Gradually stir 1 cup of the hot mixture into eggs. Return to saucepan. Cook 2-3 minutes more over low heat. Add vanilla, beat with rotary beater until very frothy. Pour into mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks. Yield: 6 servings |
